Lady is cold, lonely, beautiful and biting
like her favorite prickly flowers.
But how many people live in warmth, friendship, love, and joy!
And you are alone, always alone,
if your heart is cold and biting too,
like your favorite prickly flowers…
Не можуть освітлити вночі нашу оселю світлі вікна чужих помешкань
Холодна, самотня, красива і колюча,
як і її улюблені квіти, пані.
А як багато людей живе в теплі, дружбі, любові, радості!
А ти один, завжди один,
якщо і серце в тебе теж холодне і колюче,
як твої улюблені квіти…

Тут вони в повній безпеці.
When we – five students from Kharkiv – were training in Germany in 1997, each of us had to do any work and present it to the exhibition at the end of the training.
The owner of the gallery, where we had to exhibit our works, put us creative task: “The worse you will make, the better”. I thought: the worst – to show ingratitude to those who recive and train us completely free. And I made for all Germans as a present Corset, calling the work in German “Für Dich”. (“For you”.)
As a result, all remained very pleased. 🙂
Коли ми – п’ять студентів з Харкова – стажувалися у Німеччині у 1997 році, то кожному з нас потрібно було зробити якусь роботу і наприкінці стажування представити її на виставку.
Власник галереї, де ми повинні були виставлятися, поставив нам творче завдання: «Чим гірше ви зробите, – тим буде краще». Я подумав, що не може бути нічого гіршого, як проявити невдячність до тих, хто приймає і навчає нас зовсім безкоштовно. І зробив всім німцям у подарунок Корсет, назвавши роботу по-німецьки “Für Dich”. («Для Вас».)
В результаті, всі залишилися дуже задоволені. 🙂

The victory of David over Goliath today takes our breath away too. It was about 3 thousand years ago. I have tried to move this event nearer to us, so I have dressed David in modern clothes. It’s not a new means, but very appropriate. Philistines’ insolence and David’s courage and resoluteness united him with Goliath in a duel, as if putting on the brink of life and death. But a strong belief in God and confidence in his own forces made David the winner. And what a pity that we often have not enough determination to become happy and successful people.
Перемога Давида над Голіафом, що відбулася близько 3 тис. років тому, захоплює і сьогодні. Намагаючись наблизити цю подію до нас, я одягнув Давида у сучасну одежу – прийом не новий, але дуже доречний. Нахабство філістимлян та сміливість і рішучість Давида звели його у двобої з Голіафом, ніби поставивши на межу життя та смерті. Але сильна віра в Бога та впевненість у власних силах зробили його переможцем. І як шкода, що нам часто не вистачає рішучості, щоб стати щасливими та успішними людьми.

Sometimes people find happiness in the illusory world of enjoyments. They live with closed spiritual eyes. They buy love for money and try not to think about tomorrow. Unfortunately, real life and love pass by them. Not knowing how to change it, they die. They will never have seen the true sacrificial love that keeps the world.
Інколи люди знаходять щастя в ілюзорному світі насолод, живучи із заплющеними духовними очима. Вони купують любов за гроші і намагаються не думати про завтра. На жаль, справжнє життя та любов проходять повз них. Не знаючи як це змінити, вони помирають, так і не побачивши справжньої жертовної любові, яка тримає світ.

My childhood Augusts were exactly same.
