December. Igor is returning from work

Once we talked with our friend Igor
about wonderful winter weather which came.
And Igor said
how he was coming back home, stopped
and enjoyed the beauty of falling snow in the light of a lantern.

And I drew this moment.
And the place where it all happend.
It was in Kharkiv near Academican Pavlov Metro Station.
There is such a walkway there.

For this several years which passed since that time,
some trees had time rather to grow,
others – totally to grow old, and they was cut down;
Igor got married and now has a son,
who is going to school next year;
the landscape in the distance changed:
many new shops was built.

But snow exactly so beautiful falls like then.

Грудень. Ігор повертається з роботи

Одного разу ми розмовляли з нашим другом Ігорем
про чудову зимову погоду, яка настала.
І Ігор розповів,
як він, повертаючись додому, зупинився
і насолоджувався красою падаючого снігу у світлі ліхтаря.

І я намалювала цей момент.
І те місце, де все це відбувалося.
Це в Харкові біля станції метро «Імені академіка Павлова».
Там є така алея.

За ці декілька років, що пройшли з того часу,
одні дерева встигли підрости,
а інші – зовсім постаріти, і їх зрубали;
Ігор одружився і тепер має синочка,
який вже збирається до школи в наступному році;
пейзаж вдалині змінився:
було побудовано багато нових крамниць.

Але сніг спадає так само прекрасно, як і тоді.
